Dear all, I was a participant in the international competition "Natural City". The goal was to design a natural sciences museum in the city of Berlin. The following is the briefing:   Project Brief: The building volume sits gently within the urban landscape and is articulated as an assembly of a various majestic geometries that were formed from the natural flow of the site. Together they form an intricate structural composition that is both solid and   symbolic. Integrating an inner green court serves as an exceptional view from the inside as well as serving the purpose of a more sustainable design that will help lowering the heat gain levels in summer. Also, green roofs were integrated as part of the concrete structures, giving the feel of the structure's age and belonging to the site.                                "Arguably one of the best shows I have ever seen." From the creative team responsible for creating the epic "Death Note" ;written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows Mashiro Moritaka, and Takagi Akito. Two young guys struggling through fulfilling their dream of becoming a Mangaka, and earning an Anime show based on their manga one day. I admire stories based on true hardships in life, and perhaps giving hopes to whoever out there that needs hope. It was one of the very few shows that I applauded when I finished the last episode.

The graphic designer Masaaki Hiromura has installed what is perhaps the most analog, digital clock ever. It’s comprised of an ever-repeating video loop featuring 3 books, each representing the hours, minutes and seconds of a single day. A hand neurotically and relentlessly flips through the pages as if to remind us that time never stops moving. It’s currently on view at MUJI in Shibuya , which just underwent a major renovation and reopened at the beginning of this month. via Spoon & Tamago .

To be brief, Gin No Saji is a one of a kind anime. Personally, I love shows that speak of true real life experiences and true feelings. Gin No Saji truly captures this element, and I sincerely enjoyed the show. Gin No Saji follows the story of Yugo Hachiken, who happens to be a smart student in high school. However, when he finished high school he was left with nothing but his good grades (ironically the same as I did). He doesn't have any dreams or hopes for his future. However, his teacher recommends an Agricultural school. Based on his teacher's advice, he enrolls in the school and his life somehow drastically changes from that point onward. Overall, nice show indeed. worth every minute watching.... Thankfully a second season will premiere on January 2014.

Ah well, so a train had a makeover as Hatsune Miku. I would say how adorable it is, except I honestly fear memorizing the image inside my head and then taking the subway here in Cairo so I can feast my eyes with ugly colors with paint spray on them.     You can see all the lovely details of the outside of the car as well as the posters, toys, and other displayed items on the inside. You'll also have a look at all the folks who made the line to have a look, and incidentally, if you've ever wondered how those decals get installed on the buses and trains, there's a look at that, too. This train actually operates as a normal street car at the moment, and will through Snow Festival and all the way until the weather starts moving into Spring. 

First of all, I would like to apologize for not updating in a long time. Second, I would like to notify you that the Portfolio section has been updated, I appreciate your time & effort in viewing my latest works. Finally, I am also glad to announce that I have recently earned the "LEED Green Associate" Credential. It wasn't an easy process. It was the longest time I had to prepare for an exam in my life, and the actual exam wasn't anywhere near easy. However, Thank god I managed to pass that exam, and I am looking forward for becoming LEED Accredited Professional. Thank you, and as always : STAY COOL !!!!           (◣_◢)

Today was the first time i actually lie on a horribly uncomfortable couch, and watch nothing but movies on TV for nearly 10 hours. That of course i think can be related to how terribly work pressured me in the last couple of weeks, or the fact that i have been mad at myself for while now. I know it sounds funny in a way to feel mad at your own self, but it happens. the problem is; when your mad at someone you can simply get away from him the least to make yourself feel better, but when your mad at yourself, well...you really can't do anything but just try to fix things up somehow. last movie that i watched was Sweeney Todd: The demon barber of fleet street. I never saw the musical before, and i always wanted to watch this movie since 2007 but i just didn't seem to have the time. i must say though, i love the movie.

Its difficult to say that life is sometimes, unfair. while the fact that our lives never stay the same, and is bounded by time; it would simply be impossible for it to be the same. change, is the right word. I remember a certain year in my life that was close to perfection. it had all the flavors of life in it, and while people consider sadness an unwelcome visitor, sadness will always be there. Time is a frightening element indeed. our life pass by and evolve beyond our will, because its bounded by time. i can't imagine a human being who would be willing to give away his life, or end it thinking that it would set him free. i can't imagine that because i know that death is a painful hour. unlike what people think, people dont just shut their eyes closed and that's it. you run out of air, your body shakes thinking someone is choking you while its actually choking itself. your hands reach for anything, and anyone. you lose control over you body. you can't think of anythi...

Many thanks to all the amazing magazines and websites who went through all the time and  effort to publish my latest project. I thank AWR (Architecture Workshop in Rome) for their amazing competition, and concern  about this cause. I believe that Architecture should mainly focus on people, because architecture is About  people. The many challenges that people face in their lives should be faced and  considered by  all the fields of knowledge and art. if you can, try raising awareness to this matter. I never was taught about emergency  architecture, and i feel sorry for that... Architecture is People.
